Unitree G1 Boxing Robot

The Unitree G1 Boxing is a custom application and configuration of the G1 Humanoid Robot. Known as the "Iron Fist King: Awakening," it serves as a powerful demonstration of what is possible when advanced bionic hardware meets deep reinforcement learning. By training in virtual environments and collecting data through human motion-sensing teleoperation, G1-Boxing can execute high-speed athletic movements including straight punches, left/right hooks, and front kicks while retaining perfect balance control.

The boxing model is built on the robust G1 EDU platform, utilizing high-torque joint motors (up to 120 N·m at the knees) and rapid feedback control loops. This allows the robot to absorb heavy physical impacts, maintain its footing, and quickly perform recovery actions—such as a kip-up—if knocked to the ground.

Core Capabilities & Features

  • Combat Motion Set: Coordinated, fluid combat maneuvers trained via imitation learning, mimicking real human boxing movements.
  • Dynamic Balance & Recovery: Excellent real-time force feedback. The robot dynamically adjusts its posture to withstand strikes and can stand back up autonomously.
  • Advanced Teleoperation: Can be controlled in real-time via VR headsets, motion-capture suits, or handheld controllers for intuitive data gathering.
  • Based on G1 EDU: Powered by an NVIDIA Jetson Orin compute module (100 TOPS) and a 3D LiDAR/Depth Camera perception suite, facilitating custom AI training.
